To find out if you are of a country that requires a visa, in addition to a passport, to visit Greece for up to 90 days, please see this list, provided by the Travel Department of Greece.
Citizens traveling inside the European Union just need to display their police I.D. Card without the need of a passport. However, please note, that a passport is necessary for many actions such as currency exchange and purchases, among other things.
Citizens of Member-States of the Schengen Agreement also do not need visas. However, please note that airlines and other carriers require a valid passport and/or police I.D. Card or other form of official identification means.
If you are a citizen of a country that is a part of the Visa Waiver program, not in the European Union, nor a Member-State of the Schengen Agreement, you will need a visa to enter Greece. The Hellenic Embassies and Consulates of your home country will have more information on the type of visa you will need. Please contact your respective consulate for more information.
